Ways to Help
“I was determined not to be homeless.”
Tiffany's life began with adversity. Her parents separated when she was just a toddler, leaving her mother to navigate the arduous waters of single parenthood – an unexpected life change that destabilized Tiffany’s family for years. Tiffany, with three siblings under the age of ten, shouldered the immense responsibility of raising herself and her siblings. At the age of 15, Tiffany quit high school and became the sole earner for her family of five.
Tiffany didn’t have the traditional support system that most of us rely on, yet she remained steadfast in responding to the needs of her family. That’s when Tiffany was introduced to Elevate Youth Services.
“I was in the hotel voucher program. I knew it was ending and I was determined NOT to be homeless. I called everyone I could find but there weren’t any apartments. That’s when I found Elevate. That’s when I was safe.”
You can change the trajectory of a young person’s life!
One important way that you can help vulnerable youth here in Vermont is to make a financial contribution to ensure they have the supports and services they need to grow, thrive, and build self-sufficient lives as adults.
Your support means we can be here for youth every day – with counseling, prevention programs, emergency shelter and housing – and as a compassionate partner in problem solving to help them move forward in their lives and pursue their dreams. Your gift matters!
There are many ways you can support our work, and we are grateful for however you choose to contribute:
